This kitchen in Chelmsford Essex had the location of hob and ovens switched, to make more use of the stepped wall. Internal doors to the hallway were removed to create more of a flow from the main entrance door. More striking colours were introduced, while the walls and ceiling were kept an off white.
Brief
The room felt closed in and overcrowded, so the brief was to give the illusion of more space and a lighter feel.
