I have to confess, I initially researched Eggnog recipes for this festive blog edition but then I came across this recipe for a Snowball cocktail by our neighbours at Tiptree Jams. Reading through the ingredients I was immediately transported back to the late 70's and dad's xmassy decorated bar in the dining room. The cocktail shaker, the wooden ice barrel and of course those glacé cherries on a cocktail stick conjour up a very special xmas morning treat and happy cosy memories for me. With the addition of Tiptree's sharp lemon curd, this retro fizzer is sure to bring some cheer on Christmas morning.
So in the spirit of teak furniture, a jumbo corduroy sofa and orange and brown floral curtains I bring you the Snowball in all of its eggy, fizzy glory!
